Monday Morning Madness

Wake up, go to the gym, grab some coffee…the usual Monday morning routine. But this morning was different. This morning (at 8am sharp) marked the beginning if the Lilly Pulitzer Endless Summer Sale.

I was up (with ALL over Lilly lovers) by 8am, to stake my claim at yet another beloved Lilly sale! Ruthlessly adding item of after item to my tote, the Lilly server crashed!

I figured I better get out of my Lilly boxers and t-shirt, and do something productive with my day! Receiving this email while I was out, I figured it was time to rush home to do what I do best: online shop.

Overjoyed to be back in a happy place filled with Murfee scarves and cocktail dresses galore, I continued to add item after item to my tote. Once I was ready to checkout, half the items I had perviously wanted to purchase earlier this morning were sold out! It was quite a depressing moment, but I guess it was a sign that some pieces weren’t meant to live happily ever after in my color-coded closet!

Even though there wasn’t too much left, I decide to purchase a few things. Why not!? So I guess that items that will soon be apart of of my color-coded closet are. . . (drum role, puh-lease!)

Jewelry, Anyone?

While on a road trip yesterday, my mom and I found it an utmost necessity to stop at the Outlets for a quick peak in our favorite stores! We stopped at J. Crew and Kate Spade, and had some luck at Kate Spade. I mean come on, it’s hard to walk in that bright and beautiful boutique and not fall in love with everything!

I always gravitate towards jewelry, so I picked up an adorable bow ring and some cute little spade earrings! I love how simple yet cute they both are.

It’s safe to say that anything that comes in a bag like this, will have me drooling!

Current Obsession: Spirit Football Jerseys

Looking for another oversized sweatshirt to throw on over your bathing suit or wear on those lazy days? Well, I have the product for you!!

Some of you may have heard of Spirit Football Jerseys, but I was just recently introduced to them. They are popular among sororities and fraternities, and starting to become more popular for cities and other organizations.

From the large selection of bright colors, to the super comfortable and oversized fit, to the simplicity of the product, I’m in love!! I recently purchased a white Spirit Football Jersey with “Coastal Delaware” printed across on the back in navy blue. When I returned to the boutique, they had just received a new shipment of the jerseys and there was a mint green one calling my name. So, I’m now the proud owner of two of these fabulous finds!

At a reasonable $46, I think investing in a Spirit Football Jersey will make choosing a sweatshirt to wear on those cool summer nights a breeze! Trust me, this will be your go-to item!

In The Kitchen

Fresh peaches, a slice of juicy watermelon, fresh caught fish, grilled corn on the cob. If you’re moth wasn’t watering after my first sentence, then there’s something wrong with you! In my opinion, food is so much better in the summer. Everything is fresh and locally grown, you can use your grill 24/7, and you probably have more time on your hands to be adventurous with your cuisine!

Being a naturally healthy eater, I find eating in the summer so enjoyable. I much prefer a juicy tomato topped with mozzarella and basil to a heaping spoonful of frozen peas! Although I wish summer could last forever, seize the months you have and enjoy the local produce that is so readily available. You’ll be missing it in January!

As much as I love fresh fruits and vegetables, it is summer…and that means you need something to keep you cool. Ice cream, duh! I don’t know about you, but ice cream tastes much better when it’s dripping down your chin and you’re enjoying it with family and friends than when you’re eating it out of the container by the fire in your pajamas!

Some eat to live and others live to eat. I am most definitely the latter, and I have no doubt about that. I absolutely love being in the kitchen- cooking, baking, experimenting and having fun with the food that will nourish your body.

Enjoy these snapshots of some of my favorite meals so far this summer!
